What is Eternal Perks all about?
Eternal Perks is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization which strives to provide pragmatic funding to ministries which are effectively and strategically reaching the world with the gospel message of Jesus Christ. With each bag of coffee sold, 100% of the net proceeds are re-invested into the country of the coffee’s origin.
How does Eternal Perks work?
It isn’t very complicated, really. You simply select a type of coffee (based on origin / blend), then select the frequency at which you would like to receive it. Each month, your order is charged to your credit card and your coffee is shipped within one to two business days. Your subscription can be altered at any time, so there is no problem if you’d like to make changes. Change blends. Change countries. Changed frequency, or even quantity. It is all up to you.
What percentage of my purchase goes to the ministry?
Unlike many non-profits which solicit donations, Eternal Perks does not. We operate much like a for-profit business operates, but then donate all of the “profits” to the ministries we support. Bear in mind that when you’re purchasing from us, as opposed to purchasing coffee from anywhere else, you’re paying fair market value for a high-end product. That said, the amount of money donated to each ministry is based on the profitability of the organization. The more we sell, the more profitable we are. Our board of directors ensures that we are being fiscally responsible, however.
What percentage of my purchase is tax deductible?
Actually, none of it. Tax deductions are only allowed when you are either donating money to a registered non-profit or you have paid in excess of the fair market value of the product. When you purchase from Eternal Perks, you’re not paying in excess of fair market value and we never ask for donations. Simply, you’re just buying coffee – for a cause.
Can I customize the coffees I receive?
While some of our products intentionally contain a range of roast profiles (light to dark), origins, and blends/single origin coffees, you can either purchase a product that specifically fits your palate (light, medium, dark, espresso, African, Latin American, Indonesian, etc.) or you can tailor your ongoing subscription to your roast preference. If there’s any way we can make your gift or subscription better suited to what you love to drink, just let us know!
How much coffee is in each bag?
Each bag of Eternal Perks coffee is approximately 12 ounces, which is roughly enough coffee to make one to two cups of coffee every day for approximately two weeks. Multiple bags are available for those who prefer their daily cup of joe all month long. Also available are sampler packs of several different blends. Each sample comes in a 1.8 ounce bag and can be ordered as multiples.
When will I receive my first Eternal Perks shipment?
We ship within one to two business days of each order. Shipments are sent out daily. We ship with USPS First Class and priority Mail. In most cases, boxes are delivered within 3 business days.
When will I be billed for the monthly recurring membership?
For recurring subscriptions, billing occurs when your coffee ships. If you have prepaid, billing will reoccur on the first shipment following the anniversary of your purchase, exactly 30 days from your order.
Can I give a subscription as a gift?
Of course! There are two ways to do so. First, you can simply sign up with a subscription, using a different ship to address on your order. The second is by prepaying a 12-month subscription and gifting coffee for a year. A full year membership (prepaid) is only $199.00 (free shipping).
Does Eternal Perks ship internationally?
We currently ship anywhere in the United States (including places like Guam and military bases!), and anywhere in Canada (for an extra shipping fee). For other countries, please email us and ask for a custom shipping quote.
How do I change the shipping address for my order or my billing information?
Simply call us at 800-533-6115 to make changes to address or billing information.
How do I cancel my subscription?
We’d be very sad to see you go, but we hope you’ll keep us in mind for future gifts and other caffeine fixes. To cancel your subscription, simply call us at 800-533-6115 and we’ll get it handled immediately. All cancellations take effect within 30 days, so you may actually receive one more bag prior to the cancellation.
Does Eternal Perks have any decaf offerings?
We do! Take a look at our product offerings and make your choice.
Can I order just a single bag of coffee?
For sure. While we love monthly subscribers (and they love us back), you can certainly order single bags. Just add to your choice to the cart and check out.
How do I track the status of an order?
Every time we ship, we send you a shipment notification by email. This email will contain a USPS tracking URL, and will list all of the tasty coffees that are on their way. If you have any questions about an order, you can also contact customer service by calling 800-533-6115.
How often do you ship?
All coffee is shipped on a monthly basis, but greater frequencies are allowed. Just let us know. Ideally, to save on shipping costs, we’d prefer to just double the order and ship once per month. But, call and we can adjust to your liking.
Are your coffees organic and/or fair trade?
We partner only with small batch, independent roasters, and we carefully screen them not just for their bean sourcing practices, but for their overall attention to quality in the finished product. In the coffee industry, both organic and fair trade certifications are often associated, ironically, with factory-farmed and processed coffee. On each of our blends, we indicate which are organic and/or fair trade certified. Some countries are different in the way they deal with these distinctions, so we’re careful to identify them individually.
